Variants: Default (field-driven Groups open an anchored dropdown under the item — pick for compact 1-2 column dropdowns) and MegaPanel (Groups open a full-width panel spanning the strip — pick when dropdown content is deep: 3+ columns, group imagery, promo cards). Each nav-item's Groups (link-list refs with optional per-group Image) and Promo* fields compose the mega-menu inline — no placeholder composition; column count adapts to 2-4 groups. HasPanel items keep the placeholder popover in both variants.
